Dorothy Schechter is currently a Professor of Music and California Lutheran University, where she is the Director of Keyboard Studies. She earned her Doctorate of Musical Arts from the University of Southern California and has performed extensively in Norway, Denmark, and Sweden.
Her release on Nine 12 Records, Edvard Grieg Favorites, is a compilation of classic Grieg compositions, with a bonus track composed by Boris Shekhter.
